AFTER 17 YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE

Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) recently celebrated Mr. Folorunsho Elegbede, the Assistant
General Manager of Human Resources, as he marked the end of an illustrious career with the company. After 17
years of dedicated service, during which he played an instrumental role in shaping SAHCO’s workforce and
culture, Mr. Elegbede is stepping down, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, commitment, and
impactful leadership.

Known for his strong work ethic and people-first approach, Mr. Elegbede’s tenure at SAHCO was marked by his
unwavering dedication to employee welfare, talent development, and maintaining a harmonious relationship
between the workforce and management. His leadership in the Human Resources department helped foster a
culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that SAHCO remained at the forefront of the aviation
services industry.

Colleagues and staff members fondly recall his open-door policy, which made him accessible to all employees,
regardless of rank. His ability to strike a balance between the company's goals and the well-being of its
workforce earned him the admiration and respect of his peers.
During his time at SAHCO, Mr. Elegbede was instrumental in revamping the company’s human resources
policies, making them more inclusive and aligned with global best practices. His initiatives contributed to
higher employee engagement, better retention rates, and a stronger sense of belonging among staff.

In particular, Mr. Elegbede was known for championing programs that focused on employee development and
capacity building, ensuring that SAHCO’s workforce was equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to

His role in maintaining labor harmony also stood out, as he worked closely with unions such as the Air Transport
Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSAN) and the National Union of Air Transport Employees
(NUATE) to ensure smooth labor relations. His collaborative spirit helped forge strong bonds between the
management and the workforce, making SAHCO a benchmark for industrial harmony in the aviation sector.

In his farewell speech, Mr. Elegbede expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues, unions, and the entire SAHCO
family for their unwavering support throughout his career. He spoke about the importance of teamwork, unity,
and always remembering the human element in corporate decision-making, values that shaped his leadership
style.

"I am deeply honored and humbled by this celebration," Mr. Elegbede said. "It has been a privilege to serve
SAHCO, and I will forever cherish the relationships I have built here. While my journey with the company ends
today, I leave with confidence knowing that the strong foundation we have built together will continue to drive
the company forward."
